Constructing Sentences
Welcome to your TENTH LESSON IN VEHEVIONIAN
In this module, we’ll learn how to construct your first complete sentences!
Fortunately, basic Vehevionian sentence structure is pretty straightforward, sharing lots of similarities with English and many Romance languages.

The most common basic sentence structure in Vehevionian is:
Subject —> Verb —> Object, also known as SVO
As sentences become more complex, additional information is added after the main idea of the sentence. This leads to a general pattern for all sentences being:
Subject —> Verb —> Object —> Additional info
Most basic sentences in Vehevionian follow the Subject → Verb → Object pattern, with some exceptions in old Vehevionian literature.
Examples:
Aeves pissa. — I like pissa.
Nisetei heli. — You eat bread.
Pretes ti. — I have this.

Some verbs, however, do have an object that they act upon. Instead, they describe a state or condition of something.
These sentences usually follow the form:
Subject —> Verb —> Complement —> Additional Info
Examples:
Kavahos volle. — I am happy
Kavahat vrune. — He/she/it is intelligent
Ti mei vi telun. — This kid is skinny

Adding Descriptions:
Once you’ve formed a basic sentence, you can add descriptions to add more detail to the sentence.
Adjectives/possessives go right before the noun that they describe
Adverbs go right after the verb that they describe and before the noun they describe
Examples:
Aeves te previca niore. — I like the beautiful tree.
Pretes a navi gran hôme/uôumne. — I have a very big home.
Nisetei hareze te lizis. — You quietly eat the noodles.

Time Expressions:
One of the most common additions to a sentence is a time expression. In Vehevionian, time expressions are placed near the end of the sentence.
Examples:
Lurehosen to te horrogana dzhacai. — I went to the store yesterday.
Lurehosé yécai. — I will go tomorrow.
Niseteié te pancakes saué. — You will eat the pancakes tonight.
