THE HISTORY OF VEHEVIONIAN (2103—3380 C.E.)

 

  • Vehevionian isn’t just a conlang, it’s the foundation of modern civilization in the New World.

    The name itself comes from three separate words:

    • Veh — New

    • Evio — Language

    • Nian — Age

    When put together, they form “Vehevionian”, meaning: "The New Language Age."

    The language was created in 2139 by the Vehevionian Board after one of the greatest disasters in human history. Vehevionian was designed by Kamillika Nemiste to unite the last surviving humans under one cohesive language, becoming the first official language of the New World.

  • In 2103, humanity entered what historians call “the Solar Age.”

    A revolutionary machine known as the “Commutator Mundorum”, Changer of Worlds, allowed humans to travel faster than light. Harnessing this power, humanity rapidly expanded throughout the Solar System and quickly prepared for its first mission beyond it. That mission, however, never succeeded.

    Only minutes after final checks to the ship were conducted, the vessel suffered a catastrophic leak of exotic matter, leading to an extinction-level explosion. It devastated Earth and wiped out nearly all life on the planet.

    Human civilization collapsed within just a few hours.

    Out of billions of people, only a few thousand survivors remained, the remnants of humanity.

  • The Reliquiae were the last surviving humans after the Commutator Mundorum Disaster (CMD).

    They came from everywhere: different nations, cultures, languages.

    Most couldn’t even communicate with one another.

    Over the course of many months, survivors travelled across their shattered world to salvage the remants of humankind. Out of the few thousand survivors, only 491 survived and managed to regroup. Their gathering marked the beginning of humanity’s second chance.

  • Kamillika Nemiste is considered the most important person in New World history.

    One month after the CMD, she managed to repair a damaged telecommunications system and broadcast a message to any surviving people on all known radio frequencies.

    Knowing that most survivors spoke different languages, she cleverly communicated using binary.

    When finally getting in contact with survivors near her, she created a district system for every nation on Earth, allowing nearby survivors to find each other before eventually calculating a meeting point for everyone.

    Against impossible odds, nearly 500 survivors successfully regrouped together.

    Many modern historians credit Kamillika with saving humanity from extinction.

    She later founded the Vehevionian Board along with 9 others in 2139, and led the New World as the unanimously-elected President during its early years.

    Today she is remembered not only as the founder of Vehevionian, but the Savior of Humanity.

  • The Reliquiae faced a serious problem. Very few of them spoke the same language. English was the largest surviving language, but only a few dozen survivors spoke it.

    Kamillika’s first attempt to unite the Reliquiae together was through a common tongue, binary.

    When the surviving Reliquiae all regrouped, arguments quickly arose regarding which language should become humanity's official language.

    Instead of forcing everyone to learn one surviving language, Kamillika and the Vehevionian Board chose another path: they would create an entirely new language.

    A language built specifically for the New World.

    After years of development, Vehevionian was completed in 2142 and established as the official language of the New World. Many survivors became fluent within only two years of constant studying!

  • The Vehevionian Board, created in 2139, was the organization responsible for rebuilding civilization after the CMD and the collapse of what historians call the “Old World” (End—2133). It wasn’t until after Vehevionian was created that it was deemed the “Vehevionian Board.” At first, people simply called it the government.

    Led by Kamillika Nemiste, the board consisted of survivors from many cultures and backgrounds.

    Their responsibilities included:

    • Creating Vehevionian

    • Mapping safe and hazardous regions

    • Organizing the first settlements

    • Planning future nations

    • Establishing the Vewattique (the Vehevionian writing system)

    Many of the most influential figures in New World history served on the Board. The decisions made by those on the Board still have large impacts on the modern New World Today.

  • In 2150, humanity founded its first official nation: Vahevvea.

    The name comes from three Vehevionian Words:

    • Vahe — To write

    • Veh — New

    • Vea — World

    Meaning: "Writing a New World."

    Vahevvea became the birthplace of New World civilization.

    Its cities, educational institutions, language, and culture became the blueprint from which countless future nations would emerge.

    Every modern nation in the New World traces some part of its history back to Vahevvea.

  • What began with only 491 survivors eventually became a thriving civilization.

    New countries were founded.
    New cities were built.
    New writing systems emerged.
    New technologies transformed society.

    As time progressed, Vahevvea expanded and later established a district known as Detané, consisting of 23 regions governed by the descendants of the original founders.

    Several landmarks across the country arose such as:

    • The Tuss Iel

    • Yterkhost

    • Geoteo Center

    and became symbols of humanity's recovery and progress.

    More than 1200 years after the disaster, the New World continues to thrive, still speaking the language that united the last survivors of Earth.

2103 — Beginning of the Solar Age

  • The Commutator Mundorum ("Changer of Worlds") is invented, allowing humanity to travel faster than light.

2103–2123 — Humanity Expands

  • Humans colonize key locations within the solar system as preparations begin for humanity's first interstellar mission to alpha centauri.

2123 — The Commutator Mundorum Disaster (CMD)

  • An exotic matter leak within the cM leads to an extinction-level explosion, leaving earth in ruins with more than 10 bilion dead. The Old World comes to an end.

2123 — The Reliquiae

  • Only a few thousand survivors remain, becoming known as the reliquiae.

2126 — Kamillika's Broadcast

  • 3 years after the CMD, Kamillika Nemiste repairs a damaged telecommunications system and broadcasts a message using binary to the surviving world.

2131 — The Great Regrouping

  • survivors travel from all across this post apocalyptic world to common meeting points travel across the ruined world toward a common meeting point.

2132 — Humanity Reunites

  • All 491 Reliquiae successfully regroup.

  • For the first time since the disaster, humanity stands together once again.

2136 — The Language Crisis

  • People argue over which surviving language should become the official language of the “new world.” No consensus can be reached.

2139 — The Vehevionian Board Forms — the birth of the new world

  • Kamillika Nemiste and nine others establish the Vehevionian Board.

  • Their mission is to rebuild civilization, create a common language, and establish the foundations of the new world.

2139 — The Continuation Program

  • the first major program of the board is to never allow humanity to near extinction again.

2142 — Vehevionian Completed

  • Vehevionian is officially finished and adopted as humanity's first universal language.

2143 — The Children's Priority Act

  • Education, healthcare, and childcare are now free and become universal rights.

  • Children are officially designated as the New World's most valuable resource.

2150 — Foundation of Vahevvea

  • Kamillika Nemiste establishes Vahevvea alongside her second and third in command, kwon chul and anya tatianova respectively.

  • The first nation of the New World is born.

2150 — The First Thousand Initiative

  • Humanity surpasses one thousand citizens for the first time since the CMD, and vahevvea hosts a national celebration.

2152 — Yterkhost Opens

  • The first major astronomical and cultural center opens.

2155 — Willis Tower Operational

  • Global communications are fully restored.

2160 — Geoteo Center Founded

  • The former Kace district is transformed into the Geoteo Center, named after two siblings on the board, becoming the first national park of vahevvea.

2162 — The Twin Settlements Program

  • Every new settlement stemming from vahevvea must establish a neighboring settlement nearby.

2181 — Death of Kamillika Nemiste

  • Kamillika dies at age 108, having served as the president of vahevvea up until her passing.

  • vahevvea does not elect another president for nearly 70 years, operating through the leadership of local state governments isntead.

2181 — Detané Established

  • a major expansion of vahevvea occurs, leading to the formation of the major state of Detané.

  • it consists of 23 administrative smaller states, each led by a member of the vehevionian board.

2230 — The Hundred Thousand Campaign

  • Humanity reaches a population of 100,000.

  • The event becomes one of the most celebrated milestones in New World history.

2250 — the centennial of vahevvea

  • Vahevvea celebrates its 100th anniversary.

  • a massive national celebration occurs in the heart of vahevvea, nemiste.

2250 — Election of Paxon Paqueid

  • Paxon Paqueid becomes the first officially elected leader after Kamillika nemiste in 2139.

2264 — Founding of Paqueid

  • Paxon establishes the independent nation of Paqueid.

  • following this, other countries are formed over the span of many decades, even leading up to centuries.

2285 — The Great Expansion Program

  • Massive transportation and infrastructure projects occur as a result of this initiative, connecting settlements all across the new world.

  • from it, Population growth accelerates rapidly.

2400 — The Legacy Initiative

  • the Citizens of the new world begin documenting their family histories and tracing their ancestry back to the original Reliquiae.

  • Genealogy becomes a major cultural tradition for the people of the new world.

2495 — THE MILLIONTH CITIZEN

  • Humanity surpasses one million citizens for the first time since the CMD.

2811 — The Billionth Citizen

  • The population reaches one billion.

  • parades, festivals, and celebrations are held out all over the globe, remembering the struggles of the original reliquiae and what it took to get to where they are now.

3005 — The Age of Nations

  • Hundreds of nations, cities, and cultures now exist across the New World.

3380 — Present Day

  • More than twelve centuries after the CMD, humanity and civilization thrives.

  • Vehevionian still remains the dominant language of humanity, although now it has morphed significantly with the adoption of new vocabulary and morphology.

  • the population now exceeds 7 billion, and continues to grow every day.
